From the publisher:
Onkel Enver, der Fußball und eine Radreise durch Albanien.
For more than 40 years Albania was an isolated country that practiced a rigid Stalinism, in the center of which dictator Enver Hoxha was worshiped in an excessive personality cult.
There were more bunkers than cars, churches and mosques became sports halls, and anyone who expressed any doubts marched to the labor camp. Football was one of the few allowed distractions and nowhere in Europe as a percentage of the population went to the stadiums than in Albania.
30 years after the revolution of 1990-1991, Hardy Grüne has set out on a journey through Albania. He met fans and experts all over the country, delved into the past with them and went in search of the present. His journey took him to stages where the political revolution once began and where today the decline heralds the sad decline of Albanian football.
