"Back in 2019 I embarked upon a project documenting the surge in popularity of Women's football following the 2019 World Cup.
England fell short on the big stage that time, but it hasn't changed the buzz and positive feeling that has surrounded the game ever since.
Record crowd attendances, larger stadiums and a plethora of new fans investing time and money to travel up and down the country to support their team.
The conditions aren’t always glamorous, especially during Winter months, but the atmosphere is safe and welcoming.
The girls play for a genuine love of the game, all for a fraction of the rewards their male peers take for granted. Many have had to prove themselves in a sport they’ve been told they don’t belong in.
Many of the players I've met have something striking in common - the kind, considerate and easy-going nature of those who have faced adversity, only to come through the other side, wiser and stronger. "
