From the publisher:

This autumn, the book Curva, an ode to Italian stadiums, will be published under the flag of Staantribune. Our in-house photographer Marco Magielse and Joris van de Wier spent ten days in Italy. You can read and view a preview of the book in Staantribune 47.

A few days after the publication of this edition, the Rotterdam derby between Sparta and Feyenoord will be played at Het Kasteel, a duel that mainly in the western part of the port city still lives among the supporters. But that used to be different, that is how Spartan Anton Slotboom describes in this edition.

Ferry Reurink, one of the writers of our book about former coach Bert Jacobs, visits the home games of Vitesse in GelreDome for a bi-weekly. The much-discussed successor of Nieuw Monnikenhuize has been around for a quarter century. Ferry wondered aloud whether there is a soul in the meantime ‘The largest theater in the Netherlands’.

A less beautiful anniversary is for Veendam, which disappeared from professional football a decade ago. But we of Standingstand are far from forgotten the Settlers. Editor Eric de Jager went to East Groningen, where he noticed that many Veendammers still suffer from phantom pain after ten years.

Rick Hoogendorp made a striking switch to Real Club Celta de Vigo in the late nineties, a Spanish sub-topper at the time. It was a special month for the Hagenees. Editor Guus Hetterscheid spoke to the former attacker about an unexpected phone call, the advice of Martin Jol, special meetings with Edgar Davids and Patrick Kluivert, a Galician derby with Roy Makaay and hundreds of locks and an Arjen Robben moment.

Also fixed categories such as De Voetbalstad (this time over Dordrecht), The Supporter (Bayern Munich), De Goal (Michael Owen against Argentina in 1998), Het Shirt (Ajax 1973) and the columns of Frank Hein, Dordt-supporter Elisa Kuster and Groundhopper des Vaderlands Hans Douw should not be missing in this again special edition.
