From the publisher:

Standing stand number 25, a nice number. Five years ago we started, literally, in an attic room. A lot has happened since then. Not only do we publish a magazine six times a year, we also organize football events, publish books  and we are busy with cool football shirts and many more things that we will announce in the short term! We have arrived at Stand # 25 - Fiorentina.

What has not changed in recent years is that we still meet regularly in the pub of former football player Joop van Maurik in Utrecht. Editor Gerrit-Jan van Heemst recently watched a match of FC Utrecht, Joop's old club. The reportage is one of the highlights in this issue, as is the portrait of Gabriel Batistuta. The Argentinian star turned fifty this year, which is why we put him on the cover of this edition and dedicate a special section to one of his old clubs: Fiorentina.

In this file, among other things, attention is paid to the unfortunately prematurely deceased club icon David Astori. And an interview with Fiorentina supporter and journalist Renate Verhoofstad. Also an article about the failed season of the Brazilian Sócrates in Florence, Stadio Artemio Franchi and a report on cult club CS Lebowski.

AWAY MATCHES

Also in this issue our annual background story about attending away games. Furthermore, a report about FC Emmen and a story about The Football War. We also attended a match of amateur association Rijssen Vooruit, which has a special wooden main stand from 1929. And also the Belgian FC Sint-Kruis-Winkel, which plays soccer between the plumes of smoke and the roar of heavy industry.

Of course, regular features such as Frank Heinen's column, De Verzamelaar (this time about stadium tickets) and De Voetbalstad (The Hague!) Should not be missed.

With illustrations by Emilio Sansolini and Jeroen Bouland and beautiful photography by Marco Magielse and Dirk-Jan van Dijk, among others!

Note from Stanchion:

This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos and kits to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
