This edition of Staantribune (# 23) is all about ground hopping, or in other words: visiting matches at home or abroad, other than those of your own favorite football club. For example, a panel of recognized groundhoppers compiled the Groundhop Top 25. Among them Hans Douw, perhaps the largest ground hopper in the Netherlands. Douw will also be featured extensively later in this magazine, just like other special football travelers. Such as the very first Dutch Engelandvaarders and Sydney van Hooijdonk, the footballing ground hopper of NAC. For this special edition we also visited De Adelaarshorst, the most beautifully situated stadium in the Netherlands. Furthermore, a special match between the tiny states of the Vatican City and Monaco, the Spakenburg derby and of course the match that is at the top of every ground hopper's list: Boca Juniors - River Plate.
