Karl Fuller was born in September 1971 and has been an Ipswich Town fan since August 1978. His first game came on August 22, 1978, when Ipswich lost 3-0 at home to Liverpool and this game coincided with the debut of the Dutch master Arnold Muhren.
In the 1990's, Karl served on the supporter’s club media committee of ITFC and undertook player interviews for the fanzine ‘Those Were The Days’.
His writing experience started back in 2002 when he was asked to write a column for the Clacton Town Matchday Programme and this was titled the ‘Fuller Flavour’, before becoming the Editor of the programme in early 2004.
He held this position for seven years and at the end of the 2010/11 season, the programme was voted the Programme of the Year for the Eastern Counties League for the seventh successive year in all seven seasons as Editor.
The Fuller Flavour title was to become further established as the name of the independent Clacton Town website, before this evolved into FC Clacton's official website that continues to thrive today.
The Fuller Flavour was also a full-page column header in the Green ‘Un newspaper, covering local non-league football. After also writing for the Clacton Gazette, Daily Gazette, The Non-League paper, and the website of the Non-League 24 magazine, Karl became the Ipswich Town Columnist for the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star newspapers in September 2012, and still holds this position today. He also wrote feature articles for the Ipswich Town magazine ‘Kings of Anglia’.
In September 2022, Karl's first Ipswich Town book 'Town on the Telly' was published by JMD Media. His second Ipswich Town book 'The Game Changers' was self-published at the end of May 2023. In May 2024, Ipswich secured promotion back to the Premier League which then saw the release of Karl’s second self-published book: 'The Game Changers – Premier Edition'.
In November 2024, his fourth Ipswich Town book titled 'For Town and Country' was published, again, by JMD Media.
Married to Pegga, Karl has four children – sons Karl and Craig, and twin daughters Lola and Angel.
