This book includes 100 football grounds in Latvia, where 11x11 football matches have been and still being hosted.
Why 100? There are several reasons. This round number covers the entire spectrum of Lat vian football. From stadia that can accommodate several thousand spectators and host national teams and European cups matches, to grounds where matches of lower leagues and non-leagues are played, and instead of stands there are a couple of benches. Some of the grounds nowadays host matches from several divisions at once, while others had hosted only one official match in the past.
Geographically, it is all of Latvia: from Liepāja and Ventspils in the west, to Valka in the north and Ludza in the east.
The work on the book has been carried out since November 2020, but, naturally, I started collecting information about stadiums, as well as photographing them, much earlier. That eventually resulted in the idea of such a reference book. The desire to structure and share information, as well as the fact that in Latvia before that there was not a single printed edition dedicated to national stadiums, also affected."
