The author:
Lifelong West Ham fan Mick Clifford first visited Upton Park in the 1970s with his father. Fascinated with the club's colours, he commenced a lifelong journey collecting the famous claret and blue shirts. He vividly recalls visiting his local sports shop in Finchley, North London, with his mother to buy his first shirt on his tenth birthday. This started him on his collecting quest, which has to date garnered almost 1,000 West Ham shirts.
