D10S - Voetbal in het land van Maradona
After Final Whistle (Great Britain), Plein (Belgium) and Curva (Italy), Staantribune now presents a new photo book — this time about Argentina: D10S.
In Argentina, football is a religion. Nowhere in the world does the love for the game run deeper than here. That’s why Diego Armando Maradona is considered a saint by a large part of the population.
But Argentina is more than just Maradona. It’s a dreamland for stadium enthusiasts — stadiums can be found literally everywhere, each more stunning than the last. But the most beautiful thing about Argentina is its fans: colorful, fiercely passionate, and of all ages.
The author:
Journalist/photographer Joris van de Wier ((Tilburg, The Netherlands, 1978) is an expert in Argentine and British football. He has written several books on football (culture). This is his first photo book. He is also the deputy editor-in-chief of Staantribune, a Dutch magazine about football culture.
