From the publisher:

This edition of Staantribune is partly devoted to Willem II, which celebrates its 125th anniversary. Joris van de Wier wrote an extensive story about the love for the club from his birthplace. A pure and recognizable story for many supporters. As a wise Standstand subscriber from the east of the country once said: “We all have the same DNA, only the club is different.”

This section also contains a portrait of Sami Hyypiä, the quiet Finnish force in Tilburg, and De Kruikenzeiker talks about his addiction: collecting Willem II items. Frank Heinen wrote a story about Ibrahim Kargbo and with those involved we look back on the 1997-1998 season, in which Willem II won European football.

In addition to articles with a Tilburg sauce, we also pay attention to the Olympic football team of Nigeria, including the (later) Ajax players Tijjani Babangida, Nwankwo Kanu and Sunday Oliseh, which won the gold medal 25 years ago. Editor Julian Droog followed  Mister Telstar  Frank Korpershoek on the day of his last match for the  White Lions . Dave Aalbers wrote a story about the rivalry between fellow townspeople Flamengo and Fluminense and Guus Hetterscheid interviewed former Vitessenaar Wilfried Bony.

The usual sections, such as the columns of Frank Heinen and the Groundhopper des Vaderlands Hans Douw, De Voetbalstad (Zwolle) and  De Competition (John o' Groats v Keiss FC) should of course not be missing. And all this with beautiful photo material from master photographer Marco Magielse, among others.

Note from Stanchion:

This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
