From the publisher:
A lot has already been said and written about the European Cup I of Feyenoord, fifty years ago this year. Nevertheless, editor Daan Rieken managed to write an original story for Staantribune # 29 with facts and anecdotes that we did not yet know. He delved into the archives and spoke with former player Piet Romeijn (who of Hi-ha-dog cock) and supporter Arie van Krimpen, who deserted to see his club win the Cup with the Big Ears in 1970.
For this issue we also went out with some die-hards from FC Dordrecht and traveled to Belgium for a photo reportage of a home game of KV Mechelen. We also visited the derby between Quick Boys and Katwijk, we said goodbye to the Bootham Crescent stadium in York and we spoke with master photographer Hans van der Meer about his unique photos of Dutch and foreign fields.
Note from Stanchion:
This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
