From the publisher:
La maglia del Bologna 1909-2016. Storia delle divise rossoblù.
Why rossoblù? Because red and blue were the colours of the Schönberg boarding school in Rossbach, Switzerland, where Arrigo Grande - one of the founders of Bologna FC 1909 – studied. Since then, Bologna’s jersey – slang for the jersey of the football club of the main city in Emilia-Romagna – has been the reason for the tribulation of many generations of supporters, bringing joy, pain and enthusiasm. This book, written by two Bolognese collectors, has been updated to the 2016-2017 season and tells the story of 108 years of the felsinean jersey: from the foundation in the premises of the Ronzani Brewery – via the long gone years of romantic football – to recent years with the development of new technical fibres and new marketing strategies. The result is a book rich in images of official uniforms, really worn, that tells the story of the sporting events of the club from the unusual point of view of the jersey.
All types of worn jerseys are catalogued and described one by one. The players pass – and many great players and men have passed and will not be forgotten – but the jersey stays fixed in everybody’s mind, non-supporters included.
The book is embellished by Luca Carboni’s preface (Bologna’s jersey is mentioned in one of his famous songs) and Lucio Dalla’s season ticket that is still issued although he has passed away.
