The book:

The shots of the photojournalist Sergio Siano, a photographer on the sidelines at the San Paolo stadium in the 1980s, give us an almost filmic narration of football in the Maradona years.

The Argentine champion appears for what he was: a great athlete, a reference for teammates, a nice jester on the grass of the Centro Paradiso.

In addition, the city is told in the days of sporting victories: not the usual stereotypes about the Argentine champion and the folklore of Naples, but a simple, great memory for those who were there or have only heard of it.

The author:

SERGIO SIANO Photojournalist of the newspaper “Il Mattino”. He has made numerous exhibitions and photographic publications including "The sea that bathes Naples" (Rogiosi, 2013). For the Intra editions Moenia collaborated in the realization of the "Photographic History of Naples".

Note from Stanchion:

The book is 95% photographs but the captions are entirely in Italian and there is no English translation. However, you should be able to get the gist of the captions without being fluent in Italian.
