From the publisher:
Number 18 is partly dedicated to the Euro 1988, thirty years ago this year. For example, we went in search of the Utrecht football past of top scorer Marco van Basten.
We spoke with Gerald Vanenburg and the somewhat forgotten selection player Wilbert Suvrijn. We also visited the Olympiastadion in Munich, to be on the same spot where Van Basten made his world goal in the European Championship final.
In addition to articles about the Euro 1988, we also have other stories. Like about KV Mechelen that thirty years ago won the European Cup for Cup winners in the final against Ajax. We participated in the longest away day in Europe and visited the Huizen derby. And the infamous Moss Side neighborhood is featured in a story about Maine Road, Manchester City's old stadium.
And all this interspersed with unique photo material by Marco Magielse and Stuart Roy Clarke and illustrations by Emilio Sansolini.
Note from Stanchion:
This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos and kits to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
