From the publisher:

Ever wondered why we're called Everton? Ever wondered what our greatest-ever game was? Ever wondered why we didn't sign Erling Haaland but we did sign Neal Maupay? If the answer is yes, then this is the book for you. Everything You Wanted to Know About Everton (But Were Afraid to Ask) covers the vast span of Evertonia, the highs, the lows, the good times, the Mike Walker times. Read about the greats in our history, names like Dean, Young and Ball. Relive the moments of high elation, Wembley 66, Bayern 85, Dixie's 60. And find out, for certain, if Anthony Gordon and Clare Balding have ever been seen in the same room together. From the days of St Domingo's to the modern era of Moshiri, this book delves deep into the history of our great club.

The author:

Jim Keoghan was born in Liverpool in the 1970s, growing up in a household that was Evertonian to its core. Dreams of one day growing up and playing for the club were ultimately dashed by the crushing realisation that Sunday League was as good as it got (and even that wasn't that good).

And so, he has done the next best thing, writing about both the sport and the club he loves.

Along with three books on Everton (Highs, Lows and Bakayokos, Everton's Greatest Games and Everton Number 9), he has also written on the structural and cultural side of the game in Punk Football and How to Run a Football Club.
