Photographed between 2022–26, Coxa Analógico: Football, Devotion & Legacy is a powerful analogue study of Coritiba Foot Ball Club and the supporters who give the club its identity. Shot entirely on 35mm film, documentary photographer Gabriel Wisniewski turns away from the speed and convenience of digital photography in favour of a slower, more deliberate process that mirrors the permanence of football memory.
Wisniewski focuses on the rituals, emotion and devotion that surround the club. From the relentless energy of organised supporters Império Alviverde to quiet, personal moments beneath the green glow of Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira, the photographs capture football as it is truly lived.
At the heart of the project is a deeply personal story. Gabriel’s connection to Coritiba is a family inheritance and a way of honouring the memory of his late younger brother. The moments they shared together at the stadium remain the foundation of both his love for the club and his life as a photographer, giving every frame an added sense of purpose and permanence.
