From the publisher:

Of course, every football fan must have been to La Boca, the area around La Bombonera Stadium, and a home game of Boca Juniors. We will of course pay attention to this in the new edition of Standing Stand, which this time is entirely devoted to Argentina.

But football in Argentina is much more than just Boca Juniors and River Plate and the other big clubs in Buenos Aires, the football capital of the world. The less known clubs in the Netherlands also have interesting backgrounds and stories. For example, Joris van de Wier moved into the barrios (neighborhoods) of Buenos Aires, where clubs play a central role. He visited Excursionistas, Ferro Carril Oeste, Deportivo Español and the infamous Nueva Chicago, which many people had advised against him beforehand. Not without reason, it turned out.

He also visited Boedo, the neighborhood where San Lorenzo comes from, and saw the most beautiful derby ever: Racing Club - Independiente in El Cilindro.
We were also in the neighboring town of Rosario for a beautiful photo shoot of the contest Rosario Central - Gimnasia y Esgrima de la Plata and for an interview with a member of the infamous barra brava of Newell's Old Boys.

We also visited Argentinos Juniors, the first club of Diego Maradona, and we have a special story about a Dutch supporter of Quilmes AC. Regular features such as Het Shirt (the blue away shirt that Argentina wore against England in 1986), De Voetbalstad , this time about La Plata, De Goal (Claudio Caniggia at the 1990 World Cup) should of course not be missed, just like Frank Heinen's regular column, who also wrote a portrait of Fernando Redondo in his own way.

All this interspersed with beautiful photo material by Reinaldo Coddou H., Bett Moron, unique archive material from Maradona and other special drone photos by Victoriano Arenas and La Bombonera.

Note from Stanchion:

This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos and kits to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
