From the publisher:

Staantribune # 2 features a report on Lodz in Poland, once a flourishing textile city with two clubs, LKS Lodz and Widzew Lodz. They belonged to the elite of Polish football. Staantribune also visited the derby of Twente and the tournament for clubless footballers.

Jurgen Vantomme, photographer of brilliant pitches, Club Atlético Atlanta, the Jewish club of Buenos Aires, Robin van Persie's scrapbook and a background article about football in Limburg, are also featured in this issue.

The Dutch away supporter still has to make do with lousy subjects and all kinds of restrictions. In the premier league, the number of duels with combination regulations or even bans last season rose to 90 percent, while the average number of away fans fell slightly to 327.

For many, the away fans are a crucial element in the stadium visit. Supporters, policymakers and KNVB hope for old-fashioned full subjects. “The aim is to reduce the number of combination schemes,” said a KNVB spokesperson. This is evident from a study in the second issue of Staantribune, the magazine about football culture.

Note from Stanchion:

This publication is entirely in Dutch, with no English translation available. However, there are more than enough photos and kits to satisfy any non-Dutch speaker!
