Hardy Grüne is the author of numerous works on football history, including The Golden Book of German Football (2016, together with Dietrich Schulze-Marmeling). His last publication was Die Werkstatt Fußballwappen (2018). He is also publisher of ZEITSPIEL - magazine for contemporary football history .
